SANCTUARIES
Castleton Ranch operates a lifetime sanctuary in Southern California.
Our ranch is located in Valley Center.
Currently we have almost 100 horses.
We rescue those horses which are at most risk of falling into the wrong hands. Horses that are old or injured and have nowhere else to go will usually find themselves being sent to an auction. These horses will always be a priority for us.
Being able to provide a permanent safe haven for those horses who are approaching the late years of their life, is at the forefront of our rescue operation.
Our retired horses receive the very best of care and we ensure that the last years of their lives will be spent surrounded by love, compassion and many of their fellow horses.
